Microsoft Solutions Architect – Security

UK-Based | Remote-first with Hybrid Options

Full-Time | Salary: £80,000 – £90,000

We’re looking for a senior-level technical architect with deep expertise in Microsoft’s security ecosystem to help enterprise clients implement secure, scalable, and regulation-ready solutions. This role blends technical strategy, customer-facing collaboration, and hands-on architectural design across cloud and compliance environments.

Your Role

  • Lead the end-to-end design of secure infrastructures using tools like Microsoft Defender, Azure security services, Sentinel, Entra ID, and Microsoft’s compliance technologies.
  • Work alongside customers to uncover technical and regulatory needs, translating them into effective solution designs.
  • Create and deliver technical artefacts such as system blueprints, architecture diagrams, and documentation to guide implementation.
  • Act as the technical lead for solution delivery, ensuring alignment with governance standards, risk protocols, and Microsoft’s security frameworks.
  • Engage with internal teams and clients during pre-sales discussions, offering demos, solution walkthroughs, and technical validations.
  • Stay sharp on emerging threats, compliance regulations, and Microsoft platform updates to keep client environments resilient and future-proof.

What You’ll Bring

  • Around a decade of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct involvement with Microsoft security and compliance stacks.
  • In-depth understanding of M365, Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Purview, and identity governance systems.
  • Familiarity with global compliance standards—like GDPR, ISO 27001, or NIST—and how to architect systems that meet them.
  • Experience building robust logging, alerting, and security analytics capabilities within enterprise environments.
  • Confident communicator with strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred (But Not Essential)

  • Industry certifications related to Microsoft security and identity (e.g. SC-100, AZ-500, SC-300).
  • A strong desire to stay ahead of the curve in cybersecurity and cloud architecture trends.
