This dynamic and high-achieving secondary school in Addlestone, Surrey is looking for a passionate and dedicated Head of Year to join our pastoral leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher to take on a key pastoral role, supporting students academic progress, personal development, and well-being.

The Role

As Head of Year , you will be responsible for the pastoral care, behavior management, and academic progress of a specific year group. You will work closely with staff, students, and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. This position is open to teachers of any subject specialism , who are committed to making a difference in young peoples lives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a year group, fostering a positive school culture
2. Monitor and support students academic progress and well-being
3. Work closely with tutors, teachers, and senior leaders to implement pastoral strategies
4. Promote high expectations of behavior, attendance, and achievement
5. Provide support and guidance to students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
