Business Development Representative – Cyber Security

We are seeking a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) with expertise in cyber security to generate new business opportunities. This role requires an individual who understands offensive security services and can effectively identify client needs, build relationships, and position bespoke cyber security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting – Identify and engage with potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and industry events.
  • Client Qualification – Assess the security needs and challenges of potential clients to determine how the company’s penetration testing, red teaming, and cyber maturity assessments can add value.
  • Sales Outreach – Initiate contact with prospects, educate them on cyber security services, and establish how they align with their organisational needs.
  • Pipeline Management – Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and sales progress using a CRM system, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams – Work alongside internal teams to develop sales strategies, messaging, and lead nurturing campaigns.
  • Industry Research – Stay informed about the latest cyber security trends, emerging threats, and the competitive landscape to position services effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation within the cyber security sector.
  • Strong understanding of penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, and cyber maturity assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and convey their business value to prospects.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, such as CISOs, IT security teams, and compliance officers.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
