Overview:

Be part of the Operations & Technology Fraud Products team developing new capabilities for Mastercard’s Decision Management Platform, which serves as the core for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity. Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability.

Role

  1. Organizes and accelerates a group of related technology projects or activities across multiple teams, aligning dependent organizations. Identifies and removes blockers and always finds the path forward in challenging situations.
  2. Creates mechanisms to effectively report out and control execution. Recognizes complexity and creates predictable delivery paths for large and/or complex efforts. Measurably improves, streamlines, and/or eliminates excess processes. Utilizes cross-organizational mechanisms to describe and drive continuous improvements.
  3. Drives execution of an outcome from inception through successful delivery through the full stack of the services/domains, or, an outcome that spans multiple teams and integrations across the enterprise.
  4. Acts as the first point of contact for your team or area and the source of truth for status, providing the right information and data about the project’s state to the right audience at the right time.
  5. Understands the business strategy and design approaches within product, program, or domain with sufficient depth to be credible and effective with teams. Can competently represent team services.
  6. Keeps abreast of the evolving technology landscape. Can ask the right questions to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of designs (scalability, latency, security, performance, data integrity, etc.).
  7. Works effectively with ambiguity and limited guidance. Transforms raw thoughts into clear and concise communications/instructions to teams. Can communicate with confidence at multiple organizational levels.
  8. May work directly with external technology providers supporting our implementation plans and roadmaps, identifying opportunities to improve speed, quality, and cost.
  9. Understands the needs of engineers and technical operations teams who build, maintain, and operate services and assets.
  10. Regularly reviews metrics and seeks new mechanisms for visibility, ensuring the program aligns with organizational objectives.
  11. Plays an active role in mentoring and recruiting others.

  2. Ensures success metrics are in place and works to define them if not.
  3. Recognizes discordant views and participates in constructive dialogues to resolve them.
  4. Continuously assesses development processes, test plans, and operations, working with teams to improve concurrent project delivery.
  5. Streamlines or eliminates excess processes in architecture, operations, or business areas where efforts are repeated annually.
  6. Is an expert with Scrum delivery methodologies.
