Job Title: Architectural Technologist – Cladding Remediation Projects

Overview:
Multiple well-established architectural practices across Manchester are currently seeking experienced Architectural Technologists to join their teams on a permanent basis, with a key focus on cladding remediation and façade safety projects.
These firms are involved in vital remedial works across the UK, contributing to the improvement of existing residential and mixed-use buildings in line with evolving fire safety and regulatory standards. Ideal for technologists who enjoy technical problem-solving, regulation compliance, and seeing the direct impact of their work on building safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed technical drawings and packages for cladding remediation projects.
- Conduct thorough surveys and site assessments to inform remedial design strategies.
- Liaise with façade engineers, fire consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Ensure all designs comply with the latest building safety regulations, including the Building Safety Act and relevant fire guidance (e.g., PAS 9980).
- Assist with planning submissions, tender documentation, and contractor coordination.
- Attend site inspections and support contract administration during construction phases.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology.
- Minimum 2–5 years of UK experience, ideally with exposure to refurbishment or remedial works.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, particularly fire safety and cladding standards.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; experience working in BIM Level 2 environments is advantageous.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills and an eye for technical detail.
