Today’s Media is a publishing, events and marketing business specialising in the legal service sector. Through our popular “Today’s” online news publications, we provide regular updates on industry goings on, sector insight, regulatory updates and best practice.
Our events programme includes two national awards ceremonies and a range of thought leadership and networking events for lawyers and legal services providers.

The Role
Our exciting and forward-thinking publishing and events business is seeking a new role to the organisation. The Marketing and Social Media Executive will play a crucial role in curating, sharing and amplifying our extensive news, feature, podcast, training and events output.
Typically this will include:
- Recognising readers consume news through a variety of platforms, the amplification of the daily online news and feature output on the websites and regular e-newsletters through social media.
- Edit and promote the popular “Today’s” podcasts with the ambition to further build engagement and listeners.
- Co-ordinate and promote the range of CPD/Continuing Competence training courses available through the Today’s Training platform.
- Taking the lead on marketing activity associated with our flagship awards programmes.
- Support the wider marketing and events programme through traditional email, social media and outbound marketing activity.
This hands-on role is ideal for somebody with an all-round marketing skill-set looking for an opportunity to make their mark. There’s always something going on at Today’s Media and no two days are the same!
This role will work closely with the editorial, events and commercial team. We are an outcomes-based business, and the typical outcomes of this role are:
- Raising the visibility of the publications and wider Today’s Media products and services in their relevant sectors and positioning our output as an industry leader in the publication of news, opinion and insight.
- High quality and relevant engagement with social as a news and promotional channel through highly targeted and personalised output.
- Supporting the growth of the publications using high quality content delivered via social media channels, regular e-newsletters, and podcasts.
- Work with the commercial team to identify potential new business and commercial opportunities for Today’s Media.

Salary: £25,000-30,000 per year dependent on experience
