Base pay range

Role: Systems Architect Consultant

Location: London, Manchester or Bristol

Salary: Upwards from £55,000 per annum, £4,460 travel allowance, 15% bonus and 8% pension

Clearance Required: UK Security Clearance at the SC Level (or eligibility to obtain)

Are you a talented Systems Architect looking to take on complex, high-impact challenges? We are seeking experienced professionals to join our consultancy team, where you will leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and advanced architectural frameworks to drive solutions across Defence, Security, Transport, Energy, and Public Services sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to define and optimise complex systems and architectures.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, translating business needs into clear, structured system designs.
  • Develop and implement enterprise and system architectures using industry-standard frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of mission-critical solutions in Defence, National Infrastructure, and Transport.
  • Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, integrating people, processes, technology, and data.

Required Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Systems Architecture within Defence, Aerospace, or related industries.
  • Exposure to MBSE methodologies and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, MODAF, DoDAF, NAF, Arcadia, or Zachman.
  • Understanding of modelling tools such as Sparx EA, MagicDraw, MooD, Rhapsody, or Capella.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels to communicate complex system designs effectively.
  • Background in Defence, Security, Aerospace, or Government consulting.
  • Experience working across different phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of open architectures and their application in modern system design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply systems thinking to large-scale, interconnected challenges.
